Job Description
Sunset Imports is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our dynamic team! As the Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial operation of our dealership. You will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, managing financial transactions, and collaborating with various teams to maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive dealership accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with dealership policies and regulations.
- Lead and motivate the accounting team, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in automotive dealership accounting.
- Manage relationships with vendors and financial institutions, negotiating terms and resolving any financial discrepancies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
- Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard dealership assets and financial integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or proven experience in automotive dealership accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of dealership accounting software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
