As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, you will be instrumental in performing required machine services and repairing mechanical systems and equipment to ensure minimal downtime, so our machines are running at optimal production levels to produce parts that are used to build pumps which are used worldwide which people depend on for water, sanitation, food, oil, and so much more! This is an experienced level position with on-the-job training provided and it is the first step within your career.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform required machine service activities driven by work orders and project plans.
  • Repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Apply skills, experience, and general knowledge to a wide range of complex tasks to troubleshoot (including Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical issues with production operations equipment), adjust, install, repair, disassemble, replace, and reassemble and maintain equipment as needed.
  • Diagnose machines issues and resolve them safely, effectively, and in an efficient manner.
  • Manage and perform preventative maintenance program.
  • Source and acquire parts and services to support repairs in a cost-effective manner.
  • When necessary, work with outside contractors to procure parts and services; provide guidance to contractors and others regarding work required to be performed.
  • Design and fabricate hardware for repairs, as needed.
  • Assist other departments, as needed with facilities and mechanical tasks.
  • Work safely and maintain a safe work area for yourself and others.
  • Bring a positive attitude to work daily and be willing to learn and assist in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training in 2 or more CNC machine types, as well as 10+ years’ experience in CNC machine repair and mechanical/electronics experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of machining and metrology
  • Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems and the ability to use basic test equipment to troubleshoot electrical, electronic power and power control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical diagrams and prints.
  • General knowledge of facility maintenance is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Reliable, and predictable attendance
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is beneficial but not required
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within cross functional teams
