The Regional Account Executive will be a proven individual with a background of a consistently growing new business development efforts, strong client focused sales, as well as demonstrated contract closer. This is a Remote position and can reside anywhere in the Easter PA or Northern NJ markets. This will be a road warrior position with a minimum of 4 days a week on the road in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outside sales calls and meetings to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to grow their accounts.
- Utilize cold calling and prospecting techniques to generate new leads.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to meet business objectives.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices and drive sales growth.
- Manage sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of our products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers.
- Work closely with the account management team to ensure seamless handovers and maximum client retention.
Preferred Experience:
- You will have a deep background in Building Materials or Construction Sales with a book of contacts to call upon in Eastern PA and New Jersey
- You never feel the term “good enough” is acceptable. Growth, new clients, and outstanding customer service are always top of mind.
- You are proven to be able to develop new relationships across a large business demographic, while maintaining your connection and urgency for existing clientele.
- Detailed in reporting facts and following forecasts to meet budgets.
- Comfort in establishing and maintaining productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects.
- A true go getter, sitting at a desk is not acceptable.
- Understands that every great sales group is part of a larger team of coworkers, the need to work in a collaborative manner is paramount.
- Able to multitask, provide precedence to competing priorities.
- You will enjoy being aggressive yet appreciative of others time
- Ability and willingness to travel regionally at least 75% of the time, this is a regional road warrior position but can become a larger super regional or national role for the right individual. There will be overnight stays, national or regional trade shows. Overnight travel will be required several times a year.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, Construction Sales or Building Material Sales.
- A background in sales management or account management is an asset.
- Strong cold calling and prospecting skills.
- Experience negotiating contracts and pricing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on customer retention and satisfaction.
- Spanish language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment and meet sales targets.
