We are in the market for a Business Analyst to join our team in the automotive industry. This role is based in Torrance, CA, and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements, initiating business processes, and ensuring effective business solutions in collaboration with various stakeholders.

The responsibilities of this role include working within a product scrum team, supporting key initiatives through comprehensive business and technical analysis, constructing business cases, recommending and implementing business processes or system solutions, among others. A significant amount of collaboration with associates, IT, consultants, and vendors is required for this role. The nature of the role involves a mixture of collaborative and independent work, making it suitable for a hybrid work format with time divided between onsite and remote work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Business and Technical Analysis (60% of Time)
- Gathering and prioritizing business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Conducting comprehensive business requirement assessments via interviews, workshops, and surveys.
- Translating complex business processes into clear, actionable requirements.
- Stakeholder and Key Initiative Support (20% of Time)
- Interviewing stakeholders to understand and document requirements.
- Facilitating effective communication between business and IT units to align solutions with business strategies.
- Analyzing business partners' operations to unearth opportunities for process automation and improvements.
- Agile Methodologies (10% of Time)
- Providing support for the Agile workflow of the department, including sprint reviews, retrospectives, planning, project approval, etc.
- Department Support (10% of Time)
- Providing mentorship for less experienced staff when necessary.
- Working actively on multiple projects as a team member and at times taking lead.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills:
- Minimum Educational Qualifications: BA/BS/MBA/Masters degree or equivalent professional experience supported by subject matter training.
- Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of relevant business or technical work experience. Agile Scrum and SAFe experience is preferred, and Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Business Analyst experience is a plus.
