Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in search of a Buyer Associate - ADV to join our team located in EAST SYRACUSE, New York. This role involves acquisition and sourcing of materials and resources, assisting with contracts, order creation and managing various suppliers and vendors. This opportunity offers a long term contract employment.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting in the procurement of direct and/or indirect material.
• Managing the buying processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Handling the sourcing and outsourcing of materials and resources as required by the company.
• Overseeing the onboarding of new suppliers and maintaining relationships with existing ones.
• Reviewing and verifying specifications of purchase orders.
• Handling end-to-end supply chain logistics.
• Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of requisitions.
• Assisting with the creation and management of long term agreements (LTA) and service agreements.
• Utilizing SAP Ariba for various procurement activities.
• Performing ad hoc financial reviews and providing explanations as needed.
• Coordinating closely with the engineering department to understand material needs.• Proficient in training and onboarding new team members
• Experience in handling invoices and purchase orders
• Knowledge of materials handling and supply chain logistics
• Ability to review and manage contracts and service agreements
• Established relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Competence in performing ad hoc financial tasks
• Familiarity with procurement and buying processes
• Strong understanding of engineering specifications and regulatory requirements
• Capability to ensure compliance in all processes
• Experience in sourcing and outsourcing tasks
• Proficient in using SAP Ariba for procurement processes
• Ability to handle requisitions and manage suppliers
• Skilled in verification of orders and contracts
• Comfortable with end-to-end processes in procurement
• Excellent at providing explanation and clarification when necessary.
