Senior System Engineer

Required Skills and Experience *

- Degree in systems engineering or equivalent experience

- 4-6+ years of systems engineering experience

- Model-Based System Engineer (MBSE) experience

- Experience with various tools such as DOORs, Clearcase, ClearQuest, Jira, Jama (preference to Rational DOORs)

- Understanding of the architecture and systems

- Analytical background and able to understand system, requirements, analyze gaps, and translate to customers

- Good communication skills and documentation skills

- Ability to obtain a security clearance

- Able to come onsite 5 days a week in Deerfield Beach, FL

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

- Degree is preferred and additional education/certifications

- Shipboard integrated communications experience preferred or any sort of communications experience (radars, etc.)

- Secret Clearance

Job Description *

Insight Global's client is a top marine communications client servicing both government and commercial clients. As their team continues to grow, they have opened an additional position for a Systems Engineer on their team. This person will fill a void of understanding their systems to ensure they can service their customers in the best way possible. This role is 5 days a week onsite in Deerfield Beach, FL and requires eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Utilizes multidisciplinary processes, systems engineering methodology and techniques to develop, validate, and manage product-level system/subsystem requirements and architectures and ensure system integration.

· Devises alternative system approaches, operational concepts, architectures, and system-level attributes that will optimize system performance, cost, risk mitigation, production, operations, and logistics.

· Creates preliminary system design alternatives and manages design risk and configuration data from concept development through to product delivery and operational support.

· Performs analysis, simulation, design, and delivery of systems.

· Performs system requirement analyses, definition, and allocation.

· Communicates status and issues; resolves discrepancies and problems.

· Provides assistance with system performance reviews and other capacity planning activities as required.

· Investigates and thoroughly understands developments in systems engineering.

· Prioritizes and manages multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Compensation:

$120,000 to $170, 000 per year annual salary with flexibility for the right person.
