System Analyst

JOB SUMMARY The JDA/Blue Yonder (Red Prairie) WMS Business Solutions Analyst is accountable for delivering high quality, comprehensive systems designs, business requirements and business cases to the IT organization that will help to improve business efficiency and productivity once implemented. Pay is commensurate with experience and this role is bonus eligible.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Proactively solves complex problems
2. Fixes and develops changes to Red Prairie WMS and WLM applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines
3. Analyzes, debugs, and resolves defects in applications
4. Supports production, archive, and QA systems; analyzes and resolves system problems in a timely manner; resolves end user service requests as assigned
5. Supports business operations on weekly on-call rotation
6. Engages with IT business systems analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements, and contributes to completion of functional specifications
7. Analyze existing warehouse processes and identify opportunities for improvement, leveraging WMS features to enhance operational efficiency
8. Completes unit and system test application changes to ensure quality of work
9. Collaborate with IT, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of new processes or system updates
10. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and execution for new WMS implementations, upgrades, and integrations with other systems (e.g., ERP, TMS)
11. Prepares technical documentation on application specifications
12. Works with minimal guidance; regularly participates in reviews of assigned and completed tasks
13. Prioritizes and plans work activities; sets goals and objectives; uses time efficiently; communicates activities and results on a weekly basis
14. Takes a customer-centric approach to problem solving; solicits feedback to improve service; meets commitments
15. Liaise with JDA Blue Yonder technical support and third-party vendors to resolve complex system issues or implement new features

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills and Abilities:

• 2+ years of programming, development and analysis with JDA (RedPrairie) WMS and WLM
• Working knowledge of WMS EMS alerts, configuration and maintenance
• Lead for change control, development, code promotion, modifications, and enhancements, system refreshes and restores
• System configuration setups and policy maintenance
• Monitor and tune performance in functional support areas using workload analysis and other predictive tools to tune system for optimal performance, policy maintenance and system configuration
• Working knowledge of WMS servers, server architecture and application software
• Experience with data refresh mechanisms for all environments
• Assist and support server patches and maintenance updates
• Strong experience with Logistics and Supply Chain technologies including RF, label printers, Material Handling Equipment and Vocollect
• General knowledge of workflow, middleware and web server technology
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and write technical documentation
• Ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and across organizations
• Ability to apply creative solutions to business problems assuring business needs are effectively met

Desired Skills and Abilities

• Experience with ERP application integrations with WMS
• Experience with 3rd party integration software
• Functional Experience with JD Edwards, 2+ years
• JDA Track and Trace working knowledge

Education/Experience/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, or Management Information Systems and 2+ years of experience
• OR, Associate degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, or Management Information Systems and 4+ years of experience
• OR, 5+ years JDA WMS experience and 2+ years Supply Chain/Warehousing experience, in lieu of degree

Some: Up to 25% supporting WMS go-lives, IT meetings
