Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our team. This position requires admission to practice law in New York State (or eligibility to waive into NYS) and 2-7 years of real estate law experience.

Requirements:

Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
2-7 years of experience in real estate law
Proficiency in commercial and residential real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, and financing
Experience negotiating contracts, reviewing due diligence, finalizing conveyance documents, and completing closings
Expertise in commercial and residential leasing, including negotiating terms and enforcement
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Preferred Experience:

Working with institutional lenders and preparing loan documents
Reviewing title documents and preparing title insurance
Handling lease enforcement in court
Involvement in real property litigation
Advising on zoning and land use applications
Forming homeowners’ associations or condominiums
Assisting with entity formation and drafting governing documents

Duties:

Prepare, review, and organize real estate transaction documents
Conduct legal research and develop strategies for client needs
Handle real estate litigation matters, including court appearances
Prepare and complete zoning and land use applications, including municipal board submissions and appearances
