I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Retailer for a Strategy Manager to join them on a contractual basis.

3 months initially with a view to extend

The organisation is located in Beeston, Nottingham- they’d offer hybrid working- you would be required to be onsite 3 days per week

As Strategy Manager you will be supporting the business in navigating new ways of reaching customers, new ways of shopping and new and old competitors building their positions. At the same time, adapting out operations to deliver the customer offer and performance that we strive for.

Responsibilities:

• Build an understanding of the business landscape we face – looking at customers, suppliers, competitors and other stakeholders
• Help develop the long term strategy of the business
• Work as an internal consultant to the business to:
• Identify and evaluate business opportunities in current and new business areas
• Develop plans to realise value from the opportunity

What you’ll need to have

• Curiosity, and a desire to understand business problems and find deliverable solutions· An analytic approach and mindset, with familiarity with relevant tools
• Ability to build good relationships at multiple levels across the business
• Ability to effectively synthesise and communicate complex ideas simply
• Experience operating in cross functional teams, and providing thought leadership and rigour to their work

It would be great if you also have

• Some commercial or operational experience
• A finance qualification
• Experience working in a consulting environment

The role falls inside of IR35 and so you’d need to work via an umbrella company
