Job Title: Head of Operations

Report to: Operations Director

Location: National

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Working with the Operations Director to steer the strategic long term vision of Hickory's restaurant operations, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Hickory's restaurants whilst leading and motivating the teams in line with our 5* values. As a part of the Hickory's Management Team you will be a vital part of the future growth of the business, the team's aims will include:

• Deliver the day-to-day & run each department on a daily basis.
• Detailed understanding of business performance.
• To ensure cross communication & collaboration between departments.

• Working alongside the People Team to constantly drive recruitment in the business with the goal of having both operational parity and strength in depth for future growth.
• Drive the development of our teams; ensuring great recognition, development and succession plans are in place across the restaurants and within the Operations Team.
• Lead the restaurant teams to have Passion, delivering beyond expectations and set the standard on dedication, application and commitment whilst always promoting humility throughout the business.
• Working alongside the Training Team to make sure our restaurant teams are trained in line with the highest standards set by Hickory's and the operations and training teams are fully aligned.
• Work alongside the People and Health &Safety Teams to ensure our teams are fully legal, compliant and working within a safe environment with a focus on the general welfare and wellbeing of our teams.
• Develop and coach a team of Regional Operations Managers and Area Managers to build an industry leading Operations department.

Restaurant:

• Coaching operations and restaurant teams on not only delivering consistently great shifts but maximising their potential across all daily service metrics.
• Supporting the Operations Team and working collaboratively across all head office departments to ensure KPI targets are exceeded and agreed milestones met.
• Ensuring daily and weekly reporting deadlines are met by both the restaurant and wider operations teams.
• Working alongside Property Team, ensuring restaurants are maintained to a high standard and operationally effective with a view of constantly improving and developing them.
• Ensure site specific marketing strategies are in place and being driven by the restaurant management and operations teams with the support of the Marketing Team.

Guest:

• Working across all departments, constantly look to develop our day to day operations to create an ever improving guest experience.
• Ensure our restaurants are Welcoming, inviting and friendly environments for our guests to visit- every day and every service.
• Driving the importance of Community within our restaurants and making sure our teams are helping Hickory's to be a key focal point of the local area that they operate in.
• Utilise all guest feedback metrics including Yumpingo and direct feedback to coach our restaurant management and operations teams to improve, constantly striving to be better.
• Leading the teams to be Daring, using Southern Hospitality as a tool to "wow" and thrill our guests.
