Keltbray IDEC are recruiting for a Project Manager to work on our site in Blantyre, Glasgow, Scotland. As a Project Manager you will be a part of our Substation Build Team working on 11kV to 132kV Distribution Network, refurbishing and building new switch houses and transformer enclosures with associated switchgear, transformers and cabling. In this fast-paced role, you’ll coordinate and supervise construction activities from commencement through to final completion, acting as the principal contactor for the client.
The Project Manager will report directly to the Framework Manager, and will be responsible for the management and delivery of multiple projects at any one time, within the Scottish Power Distribution Framework. The Project managers duties will incorporate the following:
- Preparation and monitoring of all site specific health and safety documentation
- Ensuring all projects are set up and managed within the parameters of CDM Regulations 2015
- Management of Staffing and material orders for projects including ensuring relevant training courses have been completed and are within re-test dates
- Management of Project program of works and ensuring they are ran within budgets
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and upper management and all aspects of the project
- Management of contract scope changes and variations
- Preparation of project tendering information including project pricing documentation
- Collation of project KPI information
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
- IOSH Managing Safely
- SSSTS
- Experience of working with FIDIC Contracts
- Experience of working/managing projects within Distribution level substations (up to 66kV)
- Knowledge of Client rules and regulations
- Client Authorisations (SPEN Competent Person and APSA authorisations)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of software including, word, excel, powerpoint, and Project.
- Ability to manage project financial records
- Ability to manage several projects of varying values at one time.
- IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Full driving license
