M&A Senior Consultant (Technology)

Location: London - Hybrid

Employment: Full Time


The Opportunity:

The Technology M&A Division of a world-leading Management Consultancy seeks an influential M&A Senior Consultant to join its global Technology M&A team based in London.

Specialising in Technology Due Diligence, the team serves clients in Private Equity, Investment Banking, corporations, and Technology Scale-Ups, providing business strategy and transaction support services throughout the M&A Lifecycle.


In this role, you will be involved in:

• Take the lead in Technology Due Diligence engagements, showcasing expertise in this critical area.

• Provide valuable support to clients in navigating Tech financials, encompassing the assessment of IT Opex/Capex, synergy evaluation, IT Carve-out costing, benchmarking, and cost estimations.

• Drive sales initiatives within the dynamic London Private Equity and Corporate markets.

• Contribute to leadership efforts by actively participating in developing proposals and sales pitches.

• Engage in practice development and mentor team members to foster professional growth.

• Collaborate closely with Europe-wide teams spanning diverse industries.

• Play a vital role in the development and execution of the firm's M&A strategy.


Required Skills/Experience:

• Big 4 Consulting background – Tech M&A/DD

• 5+ (Yrs.) technology-driven M&A advisory experience with a hands-on approach to leading technology due diligence.

• Proficiency in financial aspects, including IT Opex/Capex, synergy assessment, IT Carve-out costing, benchmarking, and cost estimations.

• Successful track record collaborating with Private Equity clients and engaging with CxO-level stakeholders.

• Proven ability to drive sales initiatives, contribute to business growth, and demonstrate strong business acumen.

• Resourceful team player capable of navigating tasks efficiently in a collaborative culture and mentoring junior team members.

• Comfortable operating in high-pressure, ambiguous transaction environments.

• Proficient in delivering high-quality written and spoken reports and presentations.

• Familiarity with IT Separation and Integration management is advantageous.

• Possession of an MBA degree is considered an additional advantage.

• Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.


Benefits Package:

• Base Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

• Bonus: Up to 40%

• Pension: 8% - Matched

• Health & Well-being: Private Medical & Dental Cover

• Annual Leave: 25 days plus Public Holidays
