Job Title: Design Coordinator Description: A recognised specialist in joinery and interior fit-out, with over 45 years of experience and a track record of excellence and innovation across luxury hotels, bespoke residential, commercial, and marine sectors, is actively searching for an ambitious Design Coordinator to join their growing team. Top 3 Things to Know About this Job: Attractive Salary - depending on experience Opportunity to work on £multi-million bespoke projects Working from home scheme The Role: The Design Coordinator will be responsible for the design service provided on joinery and fit-out contracts, managing an in-house design team and working alongside the project management team, production, the client's multidisciplinary team, external consultants, specialist sub-contractors and suppliers. Managing the project's design development in collaboration with the project manager, the client and the company's architectural consultant. Monitoring design costs on projects against budget allowances. Providing design advice eg. on building regulations, fire protection, etc. Ensure the design team produces drawings accurately, efficiently and according to programme. Chair design meetings. Proactively resolve design issues. Maintain adequate records, manage flow of information and provide regular progress reports. The Person: have extensive experience in architectural design and/or construction projects including experience of progressing projects from RIBA stage 4 onwards for design and build contracts and a knowledge of BIM processes.
