The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrician to join the Thiess maintenance crew at Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex.
Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-East of Moranbah which commenced mining operations mid-2023. Thiess has recently been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (Autonomous), water management and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.
About The Role

- Maintain a fleet of AC Electric Drive Haul Trucks (Autonomous) and other plant equipment and site infrastructure safely and efficiently
- Meet site maintenance schedules safely and statutory requirements.
About you
As a successful applicant, you’ll be a high-achieving safety-focused individual who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment. Your attention to detail coupled with your commitment to delivering high quality work will also ensure your success in this role. The ideal candidate will hold:
- Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent
- HV Switching certification desirable
- Proven experience in a similar role in heavy industry or construction
- Proven experience in Electric Drive Haul Truck maintenance
- Desirable experience in Infrastructure maintenance and Instrumentation maintenance
- Current LVR/ CPR
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Current Standard 11
