About this role:
Programmed Care are a leading disability care provider in Victoria and we are currently seeking experienced disability support workers to join our team to help support our clients based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne in areas such as Epping, Mernda, Bundoora & Heidelberg West.
Our clients in this area are male and they have 2-3 hour shifts available in the mornings from 8am, afternoons & evenings until 9:30pm. Some shifts will be on-going rosters and some will be casual ad-hoc shifts to help cover staff leave.
Duties include personal care assistance, meal preparation, light house cleaning & community access.
Due to the personal care requirements these clients have strong preferences for female support workers.
Key Requirements:
- Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support or Individual Support. Nursing students with 6-8 weeks of nursing placement experience can also apply.
- Minimum 6 months of recent paid personal care experience in Australia or a reciprocal country, or 6-8 weeks of placement experience for student nurses.
- NDIS Worker Clearance.
- Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Professional referees who can confirm your health care skills & experience.
- Flexible availability and able to cover both morning & evening shifts.
- Friendly, approachable and able to build a strong rapport with clients.
