The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for a fulltime Pastry Chef to join our dynamic Resources Operations Team on two weeks on, one week off FIFO roster from Perth Airport to our site in remote Western Australia.


Reporting to the onsite Catering Leadership Team the primary objective of this role is to effectively assist in pastry operations within our large village. The goal is to exceed customer expectations in regard to the food offering, whilst being in line with contractual requirements.


You will be required to work day and/or night shift, working in a team and also be able to work autonomously when required to the high-quality standards expected of our clients.


The Position:



  • Meet food preparation and service requirements.

  • Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.

  • Take responsibility for your designated food section and station.

  • Be familiar with the other kitchen sections, promoting flexibility and productivity.

  • Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards.

  • Prepare and cook all food items in specific area of responsibility.

  • Check all food is stored and handled as per current food health and hygiene regulations.


Pre-Requisites:



  • Cert III in Commercial Cookery preferred

  • Experience in producing patisserie and bakery items in bulk

  • Police Clearance less than 3 months old

  • Experience in high volume bulk catering and function/banquets environment

  • Remote mining village experience highly desirable

  • Customer service driven

  • Motivated Self-Starter and Team Player

  • Ability to work within the scope/menu

  • Must be able to work on a 2:1 FIFO Roster
