About the role
Role: Senior Estimator
In this role, you will:
- Formal Education - Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Preferably Civil/Mining/Surveying) with full0time post-graduation in Finance is highly desirable. Alternately a Finance/Accounting background with on-site project experience in mining operations/civil infrastructure (e.g. roads, drains, dams, embankments etc.).
About you
- Work Experience-
At least five (5) years’ experience in estimation entailing preparation of detailed Bill of Quantity and estimation of equipment & infrastructures required.
Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Suite of software (Excel, Word).
Experience in excel spreadsheet based modeling and financial analysis.
Preferable to have experience in tendering/bidding process related financial modelling/estimation
Preferable to have experience in mining, metals and/or minerals sector- Technical Skills
High proficiency in application of estimating methodologies and systems
Understanding of commercial and legal contract conditions.
Capable of preparing schedule of rates, estimation sheet proficiently on a tool and excel using advanced functions/functionalities.
Capable of preparing financial models and doing financial analysis
Preferable to have Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering more preferable)
Excellent ppt presentation preparation skills
Solid in number crunching
Ability to follow processes and procedures
Able to follow instructions and to ask questions as required
Fluent in English and the ability to communicate easily via email, webex, Ms Teams and phone
