Our client is a top provider of operations and maintenance services across various sectors in Australia and New Zealand.
Our client is seeking a Facility/Works Supervisor to ensure service excellence for a large social housing contract. This role involves coordinating and monitoring subcontractor performance to guarantee safe, timely delivery of works that meet our client's quality standards.
Your duties will include:
- Deliver professional services that ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide customers and service teams with updates on work progress and start dates.
- Manage projects from planning through to completion.
- Monitor work status and track project expenditures against budgets.
- Achieve safe, successful, and profitable work outcomes.
- Evaluate OH&S resources and requirements before starting work.
- Clearly communicate work plans, requirements, and timelines to staff.
- Oversee prompt resolution of site issues while promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
Skills & Experience
Our ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and come from a similar role within the building industry (preferable residential, maintenance and repair). A trade or facility management background would also be an advantage.
You'll also have:
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel and Outlook
- Results oriented individual with a strong work and service ethic
- Problem solving skills with high level attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team Player - collaborative in approach and working for the overall purpose of the team
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is preferred
Essential
- A Supervisor/Building or Trade/Apprenticeship Certificate or 5 years experience in a similar role
- Current valid NSW Driver's Licence
- Trade qualification(s) desirable and/or FM experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of building and construction- desirable.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint).
