JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT
The incumbent will be responsible for maximising profits and sales growth volumes and provide sustainable sales growth by acquiring new customers and projects, develop new markets, and maintain strong relationships with customers in the mining and water industry. The incumbent will be responsible to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Sales Strategy and Business Plan Development: Demonstrated ability to actively participate in the development and implementation of sales strategies and business plans for a product range.
- Consultative Solutions Sales Process: Proven experience in providing consultative solutions sales processes to prospect clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions.
- Technical Selling Skills: High-level technical selling skills with the capability to engage with end-users, distributors, consultants, and project houses effectively.
- Pricing Expertise: Ability to provide timely, accurate, and competitive pricing on projects, considering market dynamics and company objectives.
- Technical Knowledge Management: Proficiency in analysing, updating, and upgrading technical information on both new and existing product offerings.
- Product Development Input: Willingness to assist and provide input into the product development process based on market insights and customer feedback.
- Market Evaluation and Analysis: Capacity to evaluate new markets, industries, and applications for existing and new product offerings through market and customer surveys.
- Sales and Marketing Strategy Contribution: Ability to contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing models, and distribution strategies.
- Industry Knowledge: Commitment to maintaining and developing knowledge, staying abreast of developments in the field of expertise and related industries and markets.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Capability to work effectively in a small team that is geographically spread, collaborating with team members to achieve shared goals.
- Expense Management: Skill in controlling expenses to meet budget guidelines while maximizing sales opportunities.
- Record-Keeping: Ability to maintain accurate records of pricing, sales, and activity reports to track performance and support decision-making processes.
- Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships effectively, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Customer Training: Willingness to provide and accommodate customer training sessions to enhance product understanding and usage.
- Communication with Factory: Capacity to liaise with the factory and provide regular feedback to customers on their order status, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Ethical Conduct: Commitment to adhering to business ethics and ensuring all activities and interactions align with company values and standards.
YOU WILL WILL BRING
- Significant experience (ideally 10 + years) of technical sales experience in valves, pumps, and industrial equipment preferably within the mining, water and wastewater sectors.
- Strong sales acumen - ability to understand sales processes, identifying new opportunities and close deals effectively.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written. Engaging with stakeholders, clients, team members and the like.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Strong negotiation skills, proficient in negotiation techniques to achieve favourable outcomes in pricing, contracts and agreements.
- Strong time management and adaptability - flexible to adapt in a changing market, customer requirements and internal processes whilst remaining focused.
- Resilience - capable to handle rejections, setbacks and challenges, maintain motivation and focus on long term goals.
- Mechanical Engineering degree - desirable
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Current WA Drivers Licence.
- Available to work full-time working hours from Monday - Friday (38-40-hour week)
