Our National client, based in Welshpool is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team ASAP. This is an Ongoing assignment with the vision of becoming long term for the right candidate.
Working hours: Full time Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing - with the potential for permanent for the right candidate
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, we are seeking an experienced Asphalt Project Manager to join our cleints team in Welshpool, Perth.
Your primary focus in this role will be to oversee the efficient and effective daily operations of asphalt crews within Boral's asphalt business.
You will be accountable for delivering a number of key activities, successfully guiding and mentoring work groups and delivering high quality projects safely and efficiently which supports the continued growth of the business and the teams within your remit.
Responsibilities will include:
- Complying with Borals OH&S policy and ensuring our Safety and Environmental standards are met
- Responsible for scoping out works prior to commencement and ensuring correct resourcing is in place to deliver works safely and efficiently
- Responsible for managing supervisors and crews
- Ensure all day-to-day operational targets are achieved including financial, volume and quality.
- Establish and maintain strategic customer and supplier relationships.
- Weekly Program meetings
- Working with labor hire companies to fill positions for job specific programs or rolls required
- Oversee all projects and paving contracts and resources to complete works
Experience Required:
- 5+ years' experience with knowledge of asphalt manufacturing, asphalt contracting and / or sprayed seal contracting or another relevant field
- Customer engagement and negotiating skills at a site level including contractors, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Passionate Asphalt professionals looking to progress their careers
- Strong leadership and mentoring qualities
