About this role:
Seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide community access, domestic assistance and social support to our client in Rothwell in Northern Brisbane.
Shifts are available Monday to Friday 15:00 to 18:00. Morning shifts may also become available in the future.
During this afternoon shift you will collect her children from school and assist the client with domestic cleaning & meal preparation. You may also be required to take the client and her family to other outings in the community such as shopping & medical appointments. These transport services will be completed using your own vehicle and the client finds it easier to get in and out of cars that are higher up.
Please be aware that due to the personal nature of the tasks required to support this particular client they have a strong preference for female care staff.
What you need to have:
- Australian drivers licence and a reliable vehicle for taking client out in the community & picking up children from school
- Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support or Individual Support or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months experience in Australia or reciprocal country
- Current First Aid Certificate & CPR certificate
- Current NDIS Worker Screening
- Working with childrens check (blue card) as the client has children
