Area to be covered: North & Scotland (DY, WS, DE, NG up to Scotland)

Ideally based: North of England/ Scottish Borders

Remuneration: £42,000-£50,000 neg. + 25% Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager Waterproofing and Flat Roofing/ EPDM systems will involve:

Field sales role selling a distributed range of roof waterproofing systems and reinforced EPDM membranes

60% of your time selling into roofing contractors and installers

40% managing relationships with roofing and builders merchants

Currently 20 merchant customers in Scotland, 50 contractors in Scotland and North England (lots of opportunity to recruit new merchants)

Trading agreements in place with IBC, IBNG, H&B, Fortis and NBG buying groups

Typically small to medium sized commercial refurbishment projects

Project sizes from £10,000-£100,000 (200m2-1000m2)

£2m revenue (10% typical growth target), currently performing over budget

Recruiting new contractors per quarter with £10,000 spend per annum

Calculate material costings on all projects under 100m2

Monitor and review sales and margin across the region

Product demonstrations and staff training across the product range

Attend trade shows and seminars when required

On-two overnight stays per week

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Waterproofing and Flat Roofing/ EPDM systems with:

Must have a proven field sales track record within the construction industry

Ideally sold to roofing or waterproofing associated contractors or roofing or builders merchants ideally both

Flat roofing, single ply roofing, waterproofing, liquid applied, reinforced EPDM systems sales experience is not essential

Autonomous, but still a team player

Contacts within roofing contractors / roofing installers roofing or builders merchants may be advantageous

High level of energy and strong commercial acumen

Polished, professional, well presented
