Corporate Commercial Counsel (12 month FTC)

A leading AIM-listed company is looking to hire an experienced lawyer for a 12-month period. The role is hybrid working from their head office based in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 7 to 12 years of experience of advising across corporate / commercial legal matters.

The role will report direct to the Group General Counsel and will assist in advising on matters across finance, HR, operations, marketing, risk and compliance, and legal matters of the group.

A large portion of the role will entail drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases, tenancy agreements, NDA’s and other commercial matters that arise from the group’s commercial matters. This includes support on any M&A transactions, corporate governance, sale & lease, IP / data protection and litigation related matters.

Candidate experience:

• 7 – 12 years of experience in corporate law, ideally with exposure within an in-house environment.
• Experience across a variety practice areas.
• Experienced in legal drafting, contract negotiation, risk identification and management and ability to provide clear, considered advice and support to various stakeholders.
• Experienced in working with internationally located legal team members.
• Experience with M&A transactional support.
• Experience with advising on broad range of legal matters, including general corporate (commercial, regulatory, property (sales and leasing), IP/data protection, litigation and corporate governance.
