Job Description

We're recruiting for an established and well-respected engineering company, at the forefront the of bespoke pressure vessels sector - supplying to the to the offshore, water and nuclear industries.


The Project Manager provides essential support to the Projects team, as well as the Quality and Manufacturing teams.


This position reports to the Operations Manager.


Responsibilities


Main Tasks and Responsibilities for Project Manager:


  • Effective project management - ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Handle the project management of multiple projects at the same time, including liaising with customers and organising other components of the project.
  • Attend on-site and off-site client meetings when required.
  • Arranging the creation and submission of schedules to necessary parties.
  • Assist in ensuring labour relation is maintained within the fabrication facility.
  • Monitor project and contract performance.
  • Ensure the client's technical and quality requirements are understood, agreed, and clearly communicated to everybody involved.
  • Production of technical documents i.e. Quality Plans, ITP's, etc.
  • Prepare and issue production paperwork to standard processes.
  • Production of BOM's using in-house ERP software to assist procurement.
  • Assist the Projects team in the procurement of all stock and non-stock items.
  • Manage customer relationships and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Establish a close external working relationship with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, and third-party verification bodies to achieve the project objectives.


Essential Skills


  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on multiple projects
  • HNC / HND / Engineering Degree or excellent experience in engineering environment


Preferred Skills


  • Knowledge of pressure vessel fabrication and welding processes
  • Knowledge of pressure vessel design codes (EN13445, ASME VIII Div 1, and PD5500)
