A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Aramark UK for a Health & Safety Compliance Officer. This is a full-time, field-based role which involves the provision of specialist support to our locations across the Uppingham area. Reporting to the Director of Catering & UK Safety Director, you will be responsible for supporting the operations teams to ensure sites adhere to legislative and company health and safety, food safety and food information requirements.

A day in the life of a Health & Safety Compliance Officer:
- As a safety subject matter expert, provide sound technical advice regarding all safety matters
- Supporting the management and operations team and sites to ensure compliance with both legal requirements and company safety standards
- Maintenance of safety policies, procedures, and SOPS to ensure the safety management system is up to date in line with legislative, industry and other developments
- Supporting implementation of safety policies and procedures
- Undertaking site support visits as requested by the Safety Team or Operations
- Communicating with employees, contractors, customers, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders on safety-related matters
- Work alongside our Safety Partner supporting investigation of incidents, preparation of incident investigation reports and supporting implementation of appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence and drive continuous improvement
- Supporting other general health and safety programmes and championing new initiatives to drive safety improvements
- Working on projects as assigned by the Safety Director UK
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
Essential:
- Relevant industry experience within food service / contract catering / hospitality
- Knowledge and understanding of catering / hospitality and the required food safety controls and relevant legislation
- Direct experience working within food safety
- A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- People centric with the ability to work as part of a team
Desirable:
- A degree in food safety / food science / environmental health or closely related discipline
