Financial Accounts Assistant - 6-month contract

Hays Accountancy & Finance is partnering with an organisation based in mid-Suffolk who are seeking a temporary financial account assistant to support the wider finance team with balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals including month & year-end and general ledger postings on a 6-month interim contact.

Your new role
This newly created finance temp job has been created as the business goes through a period of positive change due to commercial business growth and investment, and we are seeking experienced financial accounts interim who can give commitment for at least 6-months.

As explained, the key duties will involve supporting the financial accounting teams with reconciliation of the balance sheet across their various legal entities, as well as daily banking / cash balances and general ledger postings. As an experienced assistant accountant, you will also process month-end journals for accruals and prepayments.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be immediately available and able to commit to a 6-month+ contract and have experience of month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations as well as journals. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, part-qualified financial accountant to develop your reporting skills on a 6-month+ contract. Apart from your technical experience of financial reporting, it is expected you will be confident with Excel for reconciling and formatting data.

What you'll get in return
The organisation offers a competitive salary between £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience, flexible hybrid working after a qualifying period and generous benefits package based on a 6-month + contract.
