Membership Fundraising Area Manager
We have a unique opportunity for a Face-to-Face Membership Area Manager (F2F AM) to cover central Scotland and the surrounding areas. You'll be passionate about making a lasting difference and play a key role in leading a team of Membership Fundraisers who attend a variety of places, venues and events across the region to inspire the public to support the charity by becoming members.
You'll join a collaborative, purpose-driven environment where respect and commitment to protect nature trough generating income is at the heart of everything the team does.
The successful candidate will be based in the Central Belt - around Glasgow or Edinburgh, as you'll need to be within commuting distance of local fundraisers.

Hours: Full-Time role for 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £29,200.00 - £31,347.00 per Annum
Contract: Permanent

The Role
In your role as F2F Area Manager for central Scotland, you'll lead your dispersed team through in-person support visits, 1:1s, phone chats, team, and individual communications, virtual and in-person meetings.
Key duties include:
- Build, develop and retain a team of F2F Membership Fundraisers to achieve targets and associated KPIs
- Recruiting and delivering best practice training to new Membership Fundraisers, you will recruit, select, and induct new team members and build their capabilities.
- Doing support visits is a paramount aspect of the Area Manager role.
- Leading from the front in achieving membership recruitment and retention targets
- Report on progress with performance and how you are leading your team weekly.
- Ensure Fundraisers uphold the charity's standards, code of conduct, values and brand through their communication and display.
- Lead a culture of high standards, positive actions, and achievement of targets / income.
- Act on feedback receive to develop your team and yourself.
- Build effective, collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders, including F2F Operation Managers, Area Manager peers, the Membership Venues Team, Employee Recruitment Advisors, Employee Relations Advisors, The Logistic Team and local nature reserve staff.
As part of this role, you will be expected to work 3 out of 4 weekends and travel to different locations in central Scotland and widely throughout the surrounding areas to support your team, for which a company van will be provided, and associated expenses covered. Please note that, as a result, a full driving licence that is valid in the UK is a requirement for this position.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong Leadership and Management skills and experience in line management and supporting the development of team members. With proven ability of consistently achieving KPI and the ability to plan and deliver effective fundraising training, you will have strong communication and relationship-building skills, able to enthuse others about fundraising, the cause and membership.
You will have:
- Knowledge of F2F fundraising best practices and relevant regulations.
- The ability to work independently, but also in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Confidence in handling fundraising compliance and data management reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate at all levels across the organisation.
- Confident in giving and receiving regular feedback.
- Able to embed and lead a positive team culture.
- A driving licence (or ability to travel efficiently across locations).
