Job Title:

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Description & Background:

Hinkley Point C is a nuclear site, in which the project is to construct two major EPR nuclear plants. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team, responsible for commercial management of site activities, supervising junior team members and supporting the Commercial Manager/Project Manager to ensure margins are maintained and risks are managed.

Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial activities and contractual notifications (EWNs, CEs)
• Maintain notification registers and prepare CE quotations
• Support contractual programmes and Applications for Payment
• Manage subcontractor relationships, including contract drafting and administration
• Supervise junior team members and support their development
• Undertake project reporting, including forecasting and CVRs
• Optimize profitability and minimize company liabilities
• Manage valuation and invoicing processes

Experience Required:

• Experience in nuclear industry
• Evidence of risk and change management
• Essential: Minimum HNC or equivalent in engineering, quantity surveying or similar
• CCNSG certification (Mandatory - training can be provided)

Location:

Site based - Hinkley Point C

Salary + Hours:

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• £350-545 per day dependant on pay route (inside IR35 only) + excellent benefits
