Whats the Role:Team Leader What It Takes: An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care. So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential. Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their skills to aid in their independence. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life. Where You Would Work:Forest Lodge Forest Lodge, Portadown is a very sociable scheme where the residents like going out and about in the community and every day is different and tailored to facilitate the individuals needs and preferences. A typical day may involve accompanying residents to football matches or concerts, going on walks, playing special Olympic ten pin bowling or golf, attending tech classes or supervising family visits. Your role would also involve providing assistance with personal care, cooking with residents, and assisting them to learn new skills. All the work completed within the scheme is to try to empower the people we support to become more independent.
