Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Darlington

This community pharmacy is commutable from Middlesborough and Newcastle and is located on a busy high street in the town centre.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

• It provides a wide range of services including Pharmacy First, Minor Ailments, Flu, Covid, Supervised Consumption, Advanced Hypertension Service & Contraception Service, NMS.
• It provides services to 80 substance misuse patients
• It dispenses 100 community blister packs
• It supports 2 care homes through our central hub

This pharmacy is open 9am - 9pm Monday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm Sunday. The dynamic team at this pharmacy is comprised of

Pharmacist (2 days per week)

Team Leader (Full Time Technician)

3 FT Colleagues (2 x Technicians)

2 PT colleagues

2 of the above colleagues are also Non- Pharm Vaccinators, supporting with Flu & Covid Vaccinations.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits

We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.

We are focused on mental health and wellbeing which is why we’ve put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
