Job Title: Manger/Senior Manager - Net Zero & Climate Change Adaptation
Location: Hybrid (Bath) - 2-3 days a week in the office.
Salary: £depending on experience
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Net Zero & Climate Change Adaptation Strategy Consultant. With at least 5 years of industry experience, you will play a key role in developing, coordinating, and implementing strategies for carbon reduction and climate resilience. Furthermore, you'll get the opportunity to design, launch, and leading the development of new service lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the creation and execution of strategies for achieving net zero emissions and adapting to climate change, encompassing all aspects of organisational assets, operations, and supply chains.
- Perform assessments of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and analyse carbon footprints in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
- Establish and track GHG emissions scenarios, set reduction targets, and develop pathways for climate adaptation to bolster resilience.
- Ensure compliance with key voluntary reporting frameworks, such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
- Offer expert advice on energy and carbon policy developments, ensuring adherence to best practices in both mitigation and adaptation.
- Oversee projects from start to finish, monitoring progress and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.
- Create business cases and conduct impact assessments to support clients in making informed decisions about sustainability and climate resilience investments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, carbon management, climate adaptation, or a related field for corporates or supply chains.
- Strong understanding of energy and carbon policies, along with hands-on experience in carbon compliance, reporting, and climate adaptation planning.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply frameworks such as SBTi, TCFD, TNFD, and ISSB.
- Experience in setting and tracking carbon reduction targets, as well as in developing climate resilience strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management and a demonstrated track record of delivering impactful results.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field.
