Onsite: 1-2 days per week
The Opportunity:
Europe’s leading Defence Company seeks an influential Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to oversee the design and development of supportability solutions for next-gen missile systems throughout their product lifecycle.
The Role:
- As the ILS Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring system readiness by developing and implementing ILS strategies that enhance design and optimise performance.
- Your core responsibilities will involve managing ILS activities to achieve key cost, time, and quality objectives while fostering strong collaboration among stakeholders.
- In collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will integrate logistics into product design and development, ensuring that effective supply chain, maintenance, and training solutions are established.
- Through strategic cost and risk management, you will deliver sustainable, cost-effective support, while also managing documentation and training to facilitate smooth customer operations.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong technical engineering background with logistics experience in complex systems; a degree in a numerate or technical field is preferred.
- Knowledge of military logistics or weapon systems support, ideally within the defence or aerospace sectors, including predictive logistics models and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks in fast-paced environments.
- Experience in developing long-term logistics plans from supply chain management to customer support, enhancing bids, and ensuring contract delivery through strategic product support and cost-effective logistics solutions.
Benefits Package:
- Base salary: Up to £65,000 (DoE)
- Annual Bonus: Up to 21%
- Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Pension: Pension 14% (6% Employee and 8% Employer)
- Share Incentive Plan: Opportunity to purchase shares via payroll before tax and NI.
- Parental Benefits: Up to 26 weeks of full pay for maternity, paternity, adoption, neonatal and shared parental leave
- Sick Pay: Ranges from 6 weeks for your first six months of service and scales up to 48 weeks after five years of service.
