Responsibilities
- Preparation of contract budgets and cash flows.
- Control of sub contract accounts including:
- Measuring of sub-contractors work
- Checking sub contractor’s submissions Processing Sub contractors final accounts
- Preparation of final accounts.
- Quantification and evaluation of variations.
- Preparation of cost and value reconciliation.
- Attend site meetings.
- General contract administration.
- Preparation of material schedules.
- Preparation of monthly valuations.
- Agree with the line manager and/or MQS appropriate times for production of Bills and Quantities.
- Liaise with the line manager and/or MQS on claims issues.
- Be totally familiar with the client brief and act in accordance with that.
- Undertake jobs and responsibilities in a professional and business-like manner.
- Honour client and Adeo business confidentialities.
- Able to effectively manage an assistant QS if required.
Requirements
- You will have a minimum 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor from the start as an Assistant QS career, before you can be considered for a standalone QS position.
- You will have demonstrated that you can manage all aspects of commercial tasks required, without assistance, to high standards.
- Ideally will have previous Civil sector experience
- Degree qualification in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts is advantageous
- Strong communication skills
- Right to work in the UK
