Main Duties (but not limited to):
- Site Meetings & Surveys: Attend site meetings and surveys to assist in the production of detailed and accurate project drawings.
- Lifting Plans & Drawings: Produce detailed lifting plans, elevation drawings, crane lift plans, and slinging drawings for client projects.
- Coordination & Planning: Create coordinated setting-out plans, logistic plans, and traffic management plans to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
- Analysis & Documentation: Conduct vehicle sweep path analysis and produce necessary documents and cost spreadsheets.
- Project Estimation: Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for works, ensuring competitive and realistic project costing.
- Client Communication: Combine and prepare PDF documents for client submission, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Quality Assurance: Undertake and record peer reviews of colleagues’ lift plans to maintain high standards and accuracy.
Candidate Requirements:
Appointed Person
- Plan and document the entire lifting operation, including risk assessments, equipment selection, and supervision.
- Conduct thorough checks and inspections of all equipment.
- Implement effective defect and incident reporting.
- Organize and control the lifting operation, ensuring team members are fully briefed.
- Authority to stop the lifting operation if necessary.
Lift/Crane Supervisor
- Trained and competent with sufficient experience.
- Verify all certification and examination certificates.
- Brief all parties on the lift plan and supervise the operation.
- Ensure the lift aligns with the plan, recording any changes.
- Authority to stop the lifting operation if necessary.
Slinger/Signaller
- Trained and competent in slinging operations.
- Review and follow the Lift Plan, performing pre- and post-use checks on accessories.
- Direct crane movements using agreed signals and maintain load control.
