Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Site Manager (Freelance)

Location: Gloucester

Contract Type: Freelance (Ltd or CIS, Outside IR35) with the option to go permanent upon project completion

Rate: £250-£300 per day


Project Overview:


This project involves the replacement of 3 lifts within a live building for a government property. The main contractor is overseeing the work, ensuring all scope and safety measures are fully covered.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee lift installation works, ensuring safety and quality assurance.
  • Monitor the subcontractor's progress and adherence to safety standards.
  • Ensure work does not disrupt the ongoing operation of the live building.
  • Liaise with the Contracts Manager on a weekly basis.


Team Structure:


You will report to the Contracts Manager, who will be on-site once a week. There are ongoing interviews for additional support.


Ideal Candidate:


An ambitious Assistant Site Manager who is looking to step up, with experience in Commercial/Residential, Education and healthcare, public sector works or heritage projects. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, proactive, and keen to make a strong impression in a live building environment.


Qualifications Required:


  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid Certification


Payment Method:


Ltd or CIS, Outside IR35


Opportunity to Go Permanent:


There is potential for this role to become permanent upon successful completion of the project.
