Job Description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Learning and Development Adviser for a 4 month contract on a rate of £185/day (Inside IR35). For this role, hybrid working will be expected.


Responsibilities:


- Supporting the OD Manager to implement learning and organisational development initiatives across the organisation.

- Producing learning guides, developing e-learning, in person courses and delivering in-house training.

- Monitoring and evaluating feedback and effectiveness of training in partnership with our MLS provider to demonstrate ROI.

- Working with our Managed Learning Service (MLS) provider to engage and commission third party suppliers as required.

- Managing a training and events calendar, measuring engagement in partnership with our MLS provider

- Consulting with key stakeholders to identify learning solutions, collaborating to review that interventions are delivered to a high standard with appropriate outcomes.

- Creation and review of training, ensuring a high level of relevance, quality, and consistency.

- Enabling Framework consistency, competence, and confidence.


Essential Skills:


- Excellent L&D experience gained within a public sector or corporate environment.

- Experience of working with Learning Management Systems.

- Experience of working with blended learning and digital solutions.

- Working with a strategic approach to L&D and delivering the systems and processes aligned to this.

- The ability to create a collaborative working culture with an understanding of the needs of the end user.

- The ability to work inclusively with a diverse range of people, adapting to their needs.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, building rapport and relationships at all levels.

- High level of digital proficiency and technical ability, including the ability to produce complex training and evaluation data.

- Ability to use databases and systems effectively. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

- Demonstrable planning and organisational skills with a clear and engaging communication and presenting style.

- Comfortable with handling change and ambiguity.
