Job Description

Job Title: Commercial/Technology Lawyer (12-Month FTC)


SSQ is partnering with a prestigious professional services firm to recruit a Commercial/Technology Lawyer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. They are looking for someone with 2 + years PQE to start as soon as possible.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage negotiations for complex cross-border contracts, particularly focusing on procurement and sell-side engagements within the technology and consulting space.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on software licensing and SaaS agreements, guiding internal stakeholders on deal structure, risk management, and commercial terms.
  • Support the sales cycle by advising on tenders, bid responses, and contract negotiations, helping to secure deals while balancing business risk.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including public sector frameworks, software procurement, sub-contracts, and technology-related service contracts.


Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience in both buying (procurement) and sell-side contract negotiations, ideally within the technology sector.
  • Understanding of software-related agreements, including SaaS and technology licensing models.
  • Demonstrable track record of managing complex, high-value contracts, particularly in cross-border contexts.
  • Ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders, including senior management, across different functions.
