Location: Linby, Nottinghamshire

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 plus car / allowance & package

Summary

One of the country's leading railway contractors providing specialist services in a variety of disciplines is looking to hire a Senior Level Quality Surveyor / Commercial Manager in their Nottinghamshire office to manage railway civil engineering works across the Midlands / North

Role and responsibilities:

- Price tenders when necessary
- Submission of valuations and agreement of final accounts
- Liaison with clients regarding commercial aspects of contracts
- Ensure a commitment to comply with requirements and continual improvement of the effectiveness of the Quality, Health & safety and Environmental Management System
- Uphold all Company policies
- Initiate Contract Reviews for all new tenders and quotations
- Provision of relevant contractual documents, standards and specifications to sub-contractors
- Authorise the selection and use of sub-contractors
- Agree and arrange payments to sub-contractors
- Compliance with QTS procedures
- Assist in any other aspect of the Company where required

Skills required

- 5-7 years working in a quantity surveying / commercial role.
- Civil Engineering, Construction or Railway infrastructure experience
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Hold or be working towards an appropriate professional qualification
- Proven experience working for a contractor
