Due to our continued growth and success, we are expanding our Driving Division and are currently looking to recruit a talented and experienced **Senior Recruitment Consultant** to join our team.
Role Overview:
As a **Senior Recruitment Consultant** within our Driving Division, you will be responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and placing drivers to managing client relationships and business development. You will play a critical role in ensuring that we meet our clients' staffing needs while providing exceptional service to both clients and drivers. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in recruitment within the logistics and transport sector, who is motivated by achieving targets and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driver Recruitment: Sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding qualified drivers to meet client needs, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Driver Placement: Matching drivers to appropriate roles based on client specifications and driver experience.
- Driver Management: Building strong relationships with drivers, managing their schedules, and addressing any issues to ensure driver retention and satisfaction.
- Driver Retention: Developing strategies to keep drivers engaged, happy, and motivated to stay with the company long term.
- Customer Service: Delivering an excellent standard of service to clients, acting as a point of contact for any queries, concerns, or issues that arise.
- Business Development: Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the logistics and transport sectors, expanding the company's client base.
- Sales Meetings: Arranging and attending face-to-face and virtual sales meetings with potential and existing clients to discuss staffing needs and present our services.
- Relationship Management: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and drivers, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Industry Knowledge: A thorough understanding of EU driving hours, Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations, and compliance requirements in the UK HGV driving sector
- Recruitment Expertise: Proven experience in recruitment, particularly in placing drivers or logistics personnel, with a track record of success.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, drivers, and internal teams.
- Teamwork: A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively within a team while also independently managing your workload.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a professional telephone manner and the ability to engage confidently with clients and candidates.
- Customer Service: A commitment to providing exceptional service to both clients and drivers, going above and beyond to meet their needs.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a senior recruitment role within the driving or logistics sector.
- Strong understanding of the UK driving market and relevant legal regulations.
- A successful track record in business development and client acquisition.
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and CRM systems.
- Experience managing and retaining a large pool of drivers or logistics staff.
