Job Description

The Business: We are recruiting for a market-leading pureplay eCommerce retailer who are delivering growth and re-energising their category across the UK and Europe. They have grown rapidly through new product development, new trading channels, and territory expansion. With a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability, they are now looking for an outstanding CEO to lead the business through the next exciting phase of growth.

Overview: We are seeking an experienced CEO with broad commercial experience, including sales, marketing, and product leadership. The preferred candidate will have a proven track record of leading a successful e-commerce business, preferably in a private equity-backed setting, and experience in scaling revenue and improving EBITDA. High potential individuals currently operating at CCO or CMO level would be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the team from the top, driving revenue growth and further enhancing profitability.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimise business performance.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiencies and improve processes.
  • Drive an international business through a profitable and efficient supply chain model.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with PE partners, Board members, Shareholders, and other key Stakeholders.
  • Implement robust governance and control mechanisms to safeguard the assets and reputation of the business.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, sustainability, and encourages engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CEO or in a similar senior C Suite leadership role.
  • Experience in leading a successful e-commerce business. Individuals with experience in an omni channel environment, but with a bias to digital would also be considered.
  • Demonstrable experience in scaling revenue and improving EBITDA.
  • Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Experience in working and operating in international markets, especially Europe.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
