- Design Compliance and Review: Ensuring designs meet all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards. This includes reviewing design documents to ensure they comply with statutory requirements, local building codes, and company guidelines.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential design risks early in the project and implementing mitigation strategies to avoid delays or budget overruns.
- Budget and Value Engineering: Working closely with the commercial and construction teams to align the design with the project's financial constraints, often through value engineering exercises to optimise cost-efficiency without compromising on quality.
- Programme Management: Establishing and maintaining the design programme, ensuring that milestones are met to allow construction to proceed according to schedule.
- Change Management: Managing design changes during the construction phase, assessing the impact on time, cost, and quality, and ensuring that these changes are communicated to all relevant parties.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing quality control processes to ensure that design outputs are consistent with the original project intent and meet the required standards of workmanship.

- Proven experience managing design teams, delivering projects on time and within budget, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Residential project experience is essential.
