What is the job about?
We have some exciting plans coming up in 2025 here at NGP. With the opening of a new sales floor in our Head Office in Gateshead, we’re looking for an additional Sales Performance Coach to join our existing coaching team.
- Are you a current Performance Coach within the utilities/energy sector?
- Have you performed consistently in a Lead Generation or Energy Consultant role and are growing tired of your lack of progression opportunities?

In the role of Performance Coach, you will work with new and existing employees within the sales operations to identify ways in which performance can be improved, this is through a combination of training and coaching methods such as workshops and call listening. This involves working closely with Managers, Ops, and the Head of Training to formulate action plans aimed at improving revenue.
Your responsibilities include supporting colleagues at all levels, from guiding new hires fresh out of induction training to further elevating top performers and everyone in between. You’ll mentor, support, and guide colleagues until their performance reaches the required level. This involves providing daily support and delivering regular feedback on calls and the quality of service to facilitate continuous improvement.
What exactly will you do?
- Provide one-to-one coaching sessions.
- Organise group interactive workshops and ‘buzz’ sessions with new and existing colleagues.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new colleagues, including leading and presenting an induction session as and when required.
- Providing ongoing support, training, and development to ensure new colleagues can succeed, achieve targets, and pass probation.
- Identifying key development areas from available data and formulating appropriate coaching and development plans accordingly.
- Ensure appropriate and constructive feedback on performance is provided to assist with addressing development gaps.
- Effectively plan a coaching calendar to ensure support is given frequently and followed up in a timely manner.
- Work with Team Managers to identify any performance issues.
- Assist with formal performance management processes where appropriate.
- Covering induction training, delivering workshops, and rolling out new products, services and processes
- Any other duties that are deemed appropriate from time to time.

Bonus Points
- Qualification in training or coaching (not essential)
- Knowledge of the energy industry is highly beneficial.
- Experience of working within a telesales learning and development team.
- Experienced delivering training on a one-to-one basis.
- History of designing and delivering interactive group workshops.
- Knowledge and experience of learning styles and methods.
- Proven track record of delivering results via training and development.
