National salary: circa £70,000

London salary: circa £80,000

The Aviva Customer & Marketing (C&M) function has an overall strategic objective of crafting new value by deepening our customer relationships through the creation of industry leading marketing, data and digital capabilities and customer journeys .

We have an exciting new opportunity working within C&M as a Risk & Governance Senior Business Partner supporting our Strategy and Transformation team deliver C&M change activities in line with the expectations of Aviva Frameworks and Business Standards.

Your role will be pivotal in making sure that we meet our risk management obligations to protect our customers, deliver our Risk Goals and achieve our strategic objectives. We do this by operating in line with the Risk Management Framework and ensuring a strong risk culture which is important to us. If you are up for the challenge, we would love to hear from you!

A bit about the job:

You will support the Head of Governance and Assurance and the broader C&M function to ensure the C&M change portfolio is being delivered and integrated into the business in a safe way and in line with the Aviva risk appetite.

This includes:
  • Working closely by business partnering as the trusted advisor with specific C&M teams to help them identify and manage risks, by supporting project and operational risk assessments across the change portfolio.
  • Acting as an SME being a key point of contact for queries in relation to change delivery and risk management by providing interpretation and application of good practice when implementing relevant Aviva Frameworks and Business Standards.
  • Providing assurance to the C&M Senior Leadership Team that risk management is being executed and integrated across C&M teams, processes and systems. This includes escalating any issues to the relevant governance forums and second line risk if required.
  • Providing advisory support to Risk & Control Owners on good practice risk management as well as assurance around risk and control environment.
  • Supporting broader risk management activities such as risk scorecard, training, emerging risk assessments, risk & control self-assessments (RCSAs); as well as C&M risk analysis, reporting & escalation to the C&M Senior Leadership and second line Risk where required.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Good understanding of programme delivery, assisting the transformation team in safely integrating change into BAU.
  • Ability to provide specialist transformational advice on all aspects of Risk, Control and Governance.
  • Must be able to evidence strong stakeholder management skills at all levels in a challenge and support capacity, and demonstrate flexibility as required.
  • Excellent report writing skills, with previous experience of preparing reports and presentations for Board level review.
  • Proven experience working within the Financial Services industry, preferably in Insurance.

  • National salary: circa £70,000, London salary: circa £80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
