THE FIRM

A long established City firm


THE ROLE

The construction team is looking to hire an associate to handle a mainly non-contentious, caseload, but an understanding of disputes and how they are resolved, together with an innovative approach to problem solving, is required.

You will also be expected to get involved in a range of business development initiatives and develop profile amongst peers and in the wider sector.

Your work will include:

* Advising employers on the terms of building contracts, professional appointments and security documentation
* Assisting the Property team in relation to the construction aspects of sale/purchase contracts and development agreements.
* Assisting the Banking team in relation to the construction aspects of lending and security documents
* Advising a number of contractors and construction industry professionals on the terms of contracts, professional appointments and security documents.

THE CANDIDATE

With strong academics and 4-6pqe you will have solid experience and technical knowledge of non-contentious construction paired with an interest in and enthusiasm for all aspects of Construction Law

Some contentious experience an advantage (but not a requirement)

The firm operates an agile working framework under which members of the firm are expected to spend at least 40% of their working hours in the office. This is a minimum expectation: individuals may elect or be asked or expected to work more frequently in the office, depending on circumstance.
