Job Description

JN Technical are recruiting an experienced Site Supervisor on behalf of a UK structural steel fabricator. Working alongside the Site Manager you will be responsible for helping oversee the erection phase of large scale steel packages.

Extensive experience in the steel erection industry is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

As the new Site Supervisor, you will be a key member of the Project Team to ensure the successful execution of the construction plan. Your key duties will include:

  • Planning: Analyse pre-construction information in the Site Management Plan and suggest improvements in areas such as work sequencing, resource utilisation, pre-assembly, labour optimisation, safety, and quality.
  • Subcontractor Coordination
  • Site Inductions
  • Site Coordination: Oversee daily site operations including material deliveries, logistics, welfare facilities, trade interfaces, crane scheduling, labour allocation, installation, and defect resolution.
  • Supervision: Lead, support, and mentor subcontractors to meet project deadlines, quality standards, and budget targets.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all RAMS and lifting plans are in place, and that all operatives are fully briefed on safety protocols.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring all works meet contract standards.
  • Health & Safety: Safeguard the well-being of all site personnel by ensuring they have the proper training, equipment, and PPE. Address any breaches of safety immediately.


Qualifications

  • CSCS Supervisor card,
  • SSSTS/SMSTS card,
  • CPCS Crane Supervisor certification,
  • IPAF 3A/3B+.
