Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer for our clients based here in Aylesbury, This position is being offered on a Permanent basis with start date being immediate.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within the business to ensure the continuous running of site equipment and machinery. A background in both Electrical and Mechanical would be preferential.
The Main duties and areas of responsibility will be:
* Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
* Find and rectify faults
* Complete PPM checks
* Carry out preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled during the shift to the required standard
* Carry out maintenance and repairs of machinery and equipment – Both Mechanical and Electrical
* Carry out reactive maintenance (emergencies & breakdowns)
* Monitor stocks of mechanical and electrical spares
* Use manuals and failure history to develop preventative tasks. Brief the Maintenance Manager of the tasks and its purpose.
* Conduct risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to the start of the work to remove hazards.
* Ensure that equipment is handed back to production in 100% safe condition
* Ensure health and safety standards are always followed
* Work alongside contractors
The ideal candidate should:
* Have Electrical Installation / Mechanical Fitting experience
* Have a proven track record in Maintenance Engineering role
* Hold Qualifications - such as 18th edition would be advantageous
Working hours for this position will be Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.
Salary on offer is £40,000 per annum.
