Job Description

Introduction:

Our mission is to save lives. Join us to lead in a step change in the industry giving social housing clients the end-to-end plan they need in reducing fire risk for their residents in a pragmatic way. We'll do this through collaboration with exemplars in the industry and bringing best practices from other industries that have created positive change in the past. Whilst part of your role will be to advise on fire strategies and onboard fire engineers and other consultants your main role will be to champion change in the industry and be a trusted advisor both internally and externally.


Job Spec:

This professional should have substantial experience in fire safety design within occupied buildings and retrospective fire strategies, conduct third party review/design verification with fire safety standards and have the ability to provide fire consultancy, expert technical and management advice to our clients. Be able to create and present technical articles and thought pieces.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent understanding of UK fire safety legislation and standards
  • Fire strategies and design reviews for new projects and refurbishments.
  • Develop retrospective fire safety strategies
  • Fire impact and optimisation analysis
  • Design and specification of fire protection systems
  • 3rd party review/design verification against standards
  • Engage directly with clients, confidently addressing construction-related queries with relevant experience.
  • Provide support to client relations, pre-construction and delivery teams across the business
  • Prepare and present technical articles
  • Speak at events/sector conferences
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying and securing new clients to support business growth.
  • Onboard SME's and Consultants where required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., IFE, NFPA) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire safety consultancy
  • Possess excellent report writing and communication skills - be collaborative, creative and engaging
  • A confident, outgoing and fun person who enjoys being part of a busy team
