Job Description
We are currently looking for an Associate Scientist (Analytical CMC) to join a leading biotechnology company based in the Oxfordshire area on a 6 month fixed-term contract. As the Associate Scientist (Analytical CMC) you will be responsible for performing a range of analytical techniques in accordance with regulatory and quality guidelines.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Associate Scientist (Analytical CMC) will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Work as part of a team specifically to support development, qualification and performance of analytical assays to support CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control) activities.
2. Ensure all analytical development work is sufficiently documented to support regulatory submissions or intellectual property requirements when appropriate, and all data collection and review activities are conducted in accordance with the company’s quality system and policies.
3. Write technical reports, standard operating procedures and other documents as required.
4. Assist in the technical transfer of methods to CMOs/CTLs as required.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Associate Scientist (Analytical CMC) we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Biochemistry)
2. Proven industry experience working in a laboratory in a Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical setting.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with techniques such as ELISA, mammalian cell culture, dPCR, qPCR, Western blotting, AEX, RP-HPLC, and others.
