Job Description
We're working with a PLC developer in Bristol, and they’re looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage the commercial aspects of residential projects, ensuring cost control, budget management, and financial reporting. You’ll play a crucial part in delivering high-quality developments on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and valuations
* Assess and manage risks and opportunities on projects
* Provide regular financial reports and advice to the project team
* Work closely with site teams to ensure efficient cost control
* Negotiate and manage subcontractor packages and contracts
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Requirements:
* Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a residential developer or main contractor
* Strong knowledge and experience using COINS software is essential
* Experience managing the commercial aspects of large-scale residential projects
* Strong negotiation, communication, and reporting skills
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
