Job Description

This multi-site organisation offers a variety of products and services to a niche customer base from their head office in Bolton. The capability of the finance team is currently stretched following the implementation of a new cloud based finance system. As a result of this they would like to recruit an Interim Accountant to undertake an immediate project to develop the on system finance reporting. Key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Income and expenditure reporting against budget and balance sheet
  • Liaising with budget holders to create individual dashboards
  • Develop and improve the current MI reporting
  • Identify KPIs and produce suite of reports for SMT
  • Reconcile sales invoices back to financial budget
  • Implement controls to ensure integrity of sales ledger
  • Support Management Accountant with month end
  • Work closely with FD to develop the budget

The ideal candidate for this role will become an integral part of the finance team and should have a flexible approach to assist in making general improvements to the department. As they are currently under-resourced there is a strong chance the contract could be extended after an initial period of three months or even made permanent. Strong IT and reporting skills will be required for the role along with experience of management accounting and general finance duties. An immediate start is available for the right person.
